With POLTAG® technology, we offer you innovative material authentication at the “molecular” level - with an almost unlimited number of combinations of sequence-defined oligomers (codes). These marker molecules can be homogeneously incorporated into solid and liquid materials and precisely read out even from the smallest samples.

With POLTAG®, a specific marker molecule with a coded monomer sequences is anchored directly in the material. Likewise you can verify raw materials, prove the origin, composition, or manufacturing data of materials, or demonstrate the use of recycled materials in your products? An individual material code is created embedded in the material. It is tamper-proof and can be read permanently. This code can be linked to a digital material passport.

POLTAG® – Molecular material passport

POLTAG® is a novel and precise technology for authenticating and tracking materials—and thus also products that contain these materials, e.g., plastics, paints, liquids, fibers. This enables products to be traced back to their original batch. The technological basis for this is our ability to synthesize millions of distinguishable sequence-defined molecules (codes). These marker molecules can be reliably detected and sequenced in very low concentrations (0.1–10 ppm for liquids and solids) using tandem mass spectrometry. The marker molecules are mechanically and thermally stable (up to at least 300 degrees Celsius).
